Addressing Community Needs

In every community, there are numerous small and medium-sized companies without any or limited wellness services. We saw the need to create Wellness Councils and for decades we have been helping many communities. An example, e.g., FCWWC. 

The First Coast Worksite Wellness Council is an initiative of Healthy Jacksonville 2020. The mission of the Council is to improve the health of the First Coast Community by sharing resources and providing guidance through our member businesses. Originally developed in 2009, there were five (5) strategic goals:

• Goal 1: Service the FCWWC Wellness professional by providing cost-effective resources of interest for the First Coast Business community.
• Goal 2: Create a FCWWC brand identity with value proposition for new and existing members.
• Goal 3: Hold an annual conference to impact the health and wellness of the First Coast Business Community.
• Goal 4: Promote Jacksonville’s 100 Healthiest Companies Awards.
• Goal 5: Deliver council services commensurate with financial planning and fiscal solvency.
